Terry Wogan of BBC Radio 2 retired on the 18th of
December 2009. Terry is a truly distinguished
'Friend' of Clifford T Ward and above all others has
supported and regularly played many CTW tracks over the years on his world famous morning show. Indeed Terry and
his BBC producer Paul Walters, whilst meeting with the Friends and Pat Ward, both declared that the last track ever to be played on their show would be a song by Clifford T Ward.

Tommy Fleming's album is entitled  'The Best is yet to
come' and features his own version of this classic
Clifford T Ward  track.  Tommy's album has now
reached multi  platinum sales in Ireland, and interest
continues to go from strength to strength worldwide.
Tommy continues to 'sell out' all his live shows and
his CD sales are performing extremely well worldwide.

Tommy has recently returned from a sell out tour of
Australia in May 2009 where his album “The Best is Yet to Come” has recently

Tommy to Australia for several months in years to come.

      65th Birthday - 'Retirement'  - Clifford T Ward

A celebration Evening Dinner was held on the 7th February 2009
for fans to meet and honour what would have been CTW's 65th
Birthday and his 'retirement'. (Actual birthday 10th February).

It was a chance to meet other fans and mark the occasion by celebrating his music together.

It was a fantastic evening with excellent tribute cover versions of CTW music from Danny and
Dean - the 'Sibling Rivals'. The event was held at the Gainsborough House Hotel , Kidderminster.

But it didn't end there .... read on ...

Danny and Dean Alexander were 9 and 7 when they met Clifford.T.Ward with their dad after a local BBC Radio interview. Cliff was quite ill with the symptoms of M.S. but made a lasting impression on their musical taste. Whilst living in New Zealand for 2 years, they became inspired by the imagery, clever lyrics and lovely melody of his songs and gained an insight into his BBC Radio 2 award winning 'Home Thoughts from Abroad'. On return to the U.K. they began performing his material at pubs and folk clubs and found a song called 'Passion' that Cliff had demo'd but remained unfinished... but true to the unique style of Clifford T Ward they completed, arranged and recorded 'Passion' along with 'Campers in the Night' and 'So Bright'. All three tracks are based on CTW's  unreleased demo tapes; this is their tribute to the man who they clearly consider to be one of the greatest singer songwriters.

These tracks has been featured by BBC's Liz Kershaw on Good Friday 2009 on  BBC Radio
Coventry & Warwickshire and the interview and live performance can be heard (for a limited period)
by logging onto his link ''Listen Again LIZ Kershaw''. It is featured about three-quarters way
through the show.

Clifford T. Ward created, arranged and performed his own songs in his own unique
way, and in the comprehensive  BBC survey 2002 to determine the best songs
of the Millennium, 'Home Thoughts' was voted fourth.
A surprise perhaps to some
, but not to those of us who have listened ... and grown to appreciate and know the
genius of his talents and timeless poetic intellect.
Clifford T. Ward's music combines the best musical arrangements with very personal observations and 'experiences'
capturing the full range of emotions for any listener. Explore, discover
